A tribute to painter Margaret Rose Preston (1875-1963). This is not a replica but a personal rendition inspired by her work Western Australian gum blossom (1928). I love everything about her painting- the Aussie subject, composition, color palette and technique. A truly audaciously modern piece. My aim here is not to copy her painting but try to celebrate the achievement of her work in my own way.
