A rapid study from a small hand-sized sketchbook for a possible painting to come. There are many such visual notes about a variety of topics here in Drawn. They are the equivalent to my two minute life drawings-capturing proportions and gestures in order to quickly record crucial information. Later, while flipping through these sketchbooks, compelling subjects reassert their original, fully formed importance. They assist me to see patterns in things that I’m emotionally drawn to.
